Jillian Andrews

Biography

Jillian primarily represents organizational and nonprofit clients. Her practice focuses largely on nonprofit entities, including 501(c)(3)s, 501(c)(4)s, and political action committees. Jillian works alongside these organizations and their leaders to navigate all relevant laws and regulations, with a particular focus on IRS compliance, campaign finance, corporate governance and structures, contracts, employment, and other day-to-day needs.


Jillian’s practice also includes representation of state and federal candidates and committees in campaign finance matters. She has represented committees before the Federal Elections Commission and the campaign finance enforcement bodies of various states and localities. Jillian has developed a strong understanding of the Arizona Voters’ Right to Know Act and consistently advises clients on disclosure obligations related to their public communications under the Act. Jillian has worked with committees sponsoring ballot measures to ensure ballot access and compliance and has both defended and challenged measures in court.


Finally, Jillian has a breadth of experience in litigation and investigations, including representing clients in matters involving voting rights, election administration, commercial law, labor and employment, and First Amendment issues.


Prior to joining Herrera Arellano LLP, Jillian clerked at the Arizona Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and worked as an Associate in the Phoenix office of a national law firm.
